Background: Jet's parents were murdered in a Fire Nation raid when he was 8 years old and he has hated the Fire Nation ever since. Sometime later, he started a band of teenaged, tree-top vigilantes called the Freedom Fighters, and is now their leader. At one time he led the Freedom Fighters in trying to rid their forest and surrounding area of the Fire Nation, who had been living there for some time. After his plans failed, he decided to make a change for the better, and with LongShot and Smellerbee, he traveled to Ba Sing Se to make a fresh start.

Personality: A smooth and charismatic person, Jet is determined to combat the Fire Nation by any means, and he takes this mission to extremes. His hatred toward these people clouds his moral judgments, and he becomes fanatical and obsessed to the point that he generally doesn't care how he achieves his goal. In the past, he justified baser actions like lying, bullying harmless civilians, and even the possibility of murder with the 'noble' aim of driving the Fire Nation from his forest. These reprehensible behaviors seem to stem from the pain of losing his family and home to the Fire Nation. They are difficult for him to control, even after he made a conscious effort to change his ways.
