Background: Aunt Wu has been the principal figure in an unnamed Earth Kingdom village for twenty years. The village residents regard her predictions as infallible and rely on her guidance even for everyday decisions.

Personality: Wise and good-natured, Aunt Wu is a grandmotherly figure who offers her visitors a mixture of fortune telling and common sense advice. While confident in the predictive power of her abilities, she nevertheless believes individuals are able to shape their own destinies. Aunt Wu's harmonious blend of these two seemingly incompatible philosophies helps her to face life with grace, even when she is tricked by Aang and his friends.
